Alfred believes investment management is more art than science. He enjoys helping clients put together the puzzle that financial planning and investment management can present, and finds it exciting to see the pieces of that puzzle work together to create a desirable picture for the client. In most cases, Alfred sees multiple routes that can be taken to pursue an individual’s financial goals. That’s why his team is excellent at getting to know a client well enough to understand which route will be most suitable for them.
Money should be a blessing, but Alfred understands the burden it can sometimes bring. He encourages clients to think about the effect their wealth will have on the relationships in their lives, as well as how it could influence the motivation of future generations.
In 2001, Alfred earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia. He also acquired his Certified Financial Planner™ certification, voluntarily completing the CFP Board’s rigorous certification process to demonstrate his professionalism. As a CFP® professional, Alfred has committed to meeting the board’s continuing education requirements and practicing with higher ethical standards.
Alfred spent 16 years as a private financial advisor and senior vice president with SunTrust Investment Services before he and his team joined Raymond James in 2017. During his time there, he continued to grow his practice before transitioning with the group to their current firm.
Originally from Macon, Alfred makes his home in Sea Island with his wife, Riley. The couple has two children, Thomas, and Cammie.
